On the 28th of August, Curro held it’s annual Curro Cup, where learners from across the country compete against one another in their respective age groups. The event was held on lichess and was divided into a primary school and high school section. We are proud to announce that three of our club members: Connor Opperman, Francois Scholtz and Ethan Higham competed in the tournament and did extremely well. Connor (U/12) had a phenominal performance and came out on top in his age group, grabbing the gold medal and defending his title. Francois (U/12) also did extremely well and ended in 13th place out of a total of 83 players from around the country. Ethan (U/16) competed in the High School section and ended up in 8th place out of 43 players. We are extremely proud of you 3 boys. Well Done!!!
